IN QUARTZ CUBODODECAHEDRAL
CRYSTAL HABIT Wushan, De'An
Jiangxi Province, China Dimensions: 3 x 2 5/8 x 2 1/8 inches
Larger crystal is 1 11/16 inches (4.3 cm.) across
You are looking at an exceptionally beautiful variety of Fluorite from the De'An mine in China. This spectacular specimen features several superbly formed cubododecahedral crystals of rich raspberry to purple Fluorite up to 4.3 cm. across, set into a rough matrix of snow-white druzy Quartz. The Fluorite is nicely translucent and its color is quite striking. There is no damage to any of the Fluorites save for a tiny chip at the base of the smallest crystal, visible at the extreme right in photos #4 and 5, just above the Quartz. All in all, an exquisitely detailed jewel, with excellent color and contrast and a very graceful composition, definitely worthy of the best of collections. Guaranteed to DAZZLE and delight! ------------------------ My goal is to offer high quality mineral specimens at affordable prices, and I strive for complete customer satisfaction.
