A magnificent and stately work weighing in at over 6lbs. A simply stunning piece for anyone who deserves ROYAL treatment and the most special birthday or anniversary present. This gorgeous Steuben super bowl is in superb condition with a mirror finish all around and having no chips, no cracks, no dings, no scuffs and no scratches, and no scratches on the base bottom. This is a very large bowl measuring 10" at it's widest by 81/2" deep by 71/2" tall. The glass is almost 1/2" thick throughout. The base has eight applied bits of glass like the calyx of a flower. The winning bidder will be thrilled with this work of glass art. I have set a very fair starting bid for an outstanding Steuben bowl that is in show room condition with no hidden reserve. (This bowl retails at for $1350 before taxes-the pictures do not do this piece justice or convey it's size/heft). Please note the correct height of this piece and it's pleasing proportions. Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. It is the worlds foremost artisan glass house. Steuben glass continues to be hand made by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY. Because it is hand made, each piece is unique. Steuben glass is frequently the United States' gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben markets no "seconds". Items that do not meet their exacting production standards are destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Steuben is a luxury brand and they have no "sales".
