Offered for auction is a HUGE Sterling Silver Dealer's lot of various flatware and hollow-ware comprising a total weight of 6.625 pounds (106 ounces) on my postal scale. I call this a dealer's lot (rather than a scrap lot) because the pieces are generally in good to excellent condition, and are all usable. I will give specific condition descriptions (and you can use the photos) to assess the large pieces in the lot. The flatware is generally in good to excellent condition as well.
EVERY SINGLE PIECE of this lot is marked STERLING. The lot contains the following: 1) Arts and Crafts Sterling Silver Teapot (marked 950 Sterling, and hand serialized) approx 8 inches high, and 10.75 inches wide... weight 30 oz.. Excellent condition.. No Monogram 1) Dominic and Haff Sterling Silver Teapot (marked 925 Sterling, and with The D&H arrow symbol) approx 8 inches high, and 8.5 inches wide... weight 13 oz.. Excellent condition.. No Monogram 1) Clarence A Vanderbilt (NY) Sterling Silver Trumpet Vase (marked Sterling, Weighted, CAV) approx 9 inches high and 6.3 wide... weight 11 oz.. Good condition (a few minor dings).. No Monogram (this is the only weighted piece in the lot) 1) Webster Sterling Double Reticulated Basket (marked Webster symbol, and Sterling) approx 7.25 inches high and 9.5 inches wide.... Good condition (a few minor dings).. Monogrammed S 5) Various Plates, Bowls, Trays, etc... All marked Sterling, all in excellent condition... none monogrammed. 45) pieces of Sterling Silver flatware.. Various makers, sizes, shapes etc... Durgin, Alvin, Towle, R&B, etc.. Including 5 Shiebler Kings Pattern Cocktail forks, and Old Orange Blossom Dinner fork, An Alvin Viking serving fork, A Lunt Pea Spoon, etc... Take a good close look at the pictures, t are some pleasant surprises in this lot.. The silver is offered for the ridiculously low starting price of 99 cents, and without a reserve.
