Up for bid is a very unusual vintage, Modern Era, hand made, solid, sterling silver tray. The tray is in the shape of a swan. The head of the swan is over the body and the sides and ends of the tray are raised up like wings, a chest and tail feathers. The tray is marked on the bottom: C. Zurita, sterling 925, Hecho En Mexico , (and what looks like a painter's pallet with brushes). The piece is in near mint condition for its age with NO damage to speak of. (Minor scratches as you would expect form less than normal usage). The measurements are: 14.5 inches long X 10.5 inches wide X 7 inches tall. That's right, it's big..... and heavy too, it weighs approximately 45 troy ounces. I was able to find out that C. Zurita was from Taxco Mexico and was known for making beautiful sterling designs for the high-end retailer Perlita. See photos for further details. Email any questions.
