This amazing early vintage Mexican Silver Bracelet was styled after a design that originated with the famous Taxco silver artist Hector Aguilar. Crafted of thick heavy silver, it has a modernist design and is set with three rows of oval cabochon Turquoise "Stones" ~ the stones are most likely Bakelite, a material commonly used in old Mexican silver jewelry, it was a new and popular material at the time. These stones are set in wide silver bezels and the stones on the outer edges are applied over the cut out design and backed with silver. The bracelet measures 6" long with an opening of 1 1/4" (it could be gently adjusted up or down to fit almost any size wrist) by 1 1/2" wide at the front, tapering to 1/2" at the back. It is in good original vintage condition with no signs of damage or repair ~ only minor signs of gentle wear and a bit of tarnish. It is constructed out of thick solid Sterling Silver and it weighs a hefty 63.7 grams. Hallmarked "Taxco Mexico 925" around the initials "ESR" and the eagle stamp 3. This beautiful and dramatic bracelet is absolutely stunning on and is one you will wear and love for a lifetime.
