The fossil of the decade From Tyrannosaurus rex Late Cretaceous Period, 70-66.5 MYA Found in Hell Creek Formation100% original fossil, NOT a cast or reproduction, NO repair or restoration. Beautiful and extra large 4 ½ inch Tyrannosaurus Rex Hand Claw from a very large adult dinosaur.It is in excellent shape and is possibly the largest hand claw ever found. A picture of this was sent to Black Hills Institute and a paleontologist there confirmed it was a large T-Rex hand claw and largest one he ever saw, even saying it may be the largest one ever found. Due to the sheer size he said it actually could be no other dinosaur. The tip is not sharp but it is present, it is just worn from natural wear probably during its lifetime. This T-Rex was certainly one of the biggest that ever roamed the earth. The oldest complete ever found was Sue at 29 years old. This animal would have to have been older, probably at least 50 years old.This is a rare opportunity to own a huge claw with nice detail and grooves. The back articulation point is in pristine condition. The color is dark gray and the claw just looks magnificent. It was found in northwest South Dakota at a private ranch with their permission. Claws are more rare, as teeth would be lost and replaced.Tyrannosaurs had only 2 hand claws instead of 3 like other carnivores. T-Rex arm bones are roughly the same length as a human's. Imagine this huge claw on one of those tiny arms for a creature of its size. Own a piece of possibly the largest T-Rex of all time.Will ship internationally, ask for rate.
