This elegant vintage necklace was purchased by myself at Bergdorf Goodman in New York in the early 1980's. It hasa definite African influence and I was told that it was usedas a runway piece for a designer's New York show. I can find no signature and cannot remember the name of thedesigner of this piece. If anyone recognizes this designer I wouldappreciate hearing from you.It is definitely a statement piece of jewelry. The shortest strandis 17 inches long land the brass disc and black and gold beadedhanging tassle is another 11 inches so the total length is 28 inches.The brass convex disc measures 2 inches in diameter.It comes in it's original Bergdorf Goodman box.Shipping via USPS Priority Mail within the U.S. will be $6.50.
