This is truly a treasure chest for the Tammy family lover! Along with a high color Tammy doll with her original blue one piece outfit, she is accompanied by a flurry of wardrobe choices that nearly boggle the senses! My grandmother was an avid collector of all things Barbie since the line's inception, but along the way, it seems she saw fit to indulge in anything that caught her fancy! As there were no kids at the 'ol farmstead by the early '60's & by the time my sister & I came along as the only granddaughters, all was safely behind glass doors or stored away up on the second floor (where rumor had it our past kin guarded all things precious from the grubby hands of us 'rugrats')! N As the years passed, every holiday we would visit and enjoy Gran's elaborate displays of Barbie and the gang in their various ensembles shown off in her trove of massive China glass fronted antique cabinets. Sadly, all in under a period of just 3 short years, the entire family decided to leave the two of us here to handle all the ancestry, the treasures they held so dear, and carry on that which they taught us was important to preserve for future generations. They failed to convey just what percentage of that was a nearly unmanageable doll collection to which neither my sister or I had any previous experience dealing with! So, as this past year has been especially challenging as my hubby & I have taken up the call & relocated from sunny California to the extreme weather of north central Indiana and all that goes with it, I can only tell you what I know and share as many photos as possible. I couldn't fit all of what is included here in, and don't know the proper names but I can tell you that I personally have tried each and every piece on the dolls so as to see what fit who and to ensure any potential condition issues. All snaps that I ran across needing replacing or refastening have been done so if one is missed, it's an honest oversight. Any seams needing mending, we have done so unless for whatever reason, the issue looked to be beyond our simple capacity. There are handbags, hats, shoes, glasses, but we seemed to be short on gloves and jewelry specific to this company. I was able to locate a few pearl necklaces, a few pairs of glasses, tennis rackets correct for her, radios, paint palettes, tv, many very cool handbags, some shoes- not as many as I would have liked, phones, curlers, and other accessory items making for a very full to overflowing grouping. There is a Misty doll included, however I believe this was a second hand doll Gram picked up at the local thrift shop she ran here in town for battered woman and though this Misty served her purpose for us, she is not 'collector worthy' and is being thrown in simply as I need these all to find new homes soon! She is missing a finger and has unusual darkening on her arms in comparison to the rest of her. Still, with not too much effort, it's likely she could be a stunning doll. Among the outfits are clothing for the Elly May doll from the Beverly Hillbillies, Penny Brite outfits, Pepper wear, Misty clothing, and other Ideal dolls. There are pieces to rare Japan issued only outfits but not the entire ensemble. I didn't do an over all count but definitely over 100+ here of just clothing pieces alone. Just gorgeous wedding gown, party dresses, and stunning coats. Checkmate #9175-1 checkered sleeveless shirt and white skirt that needs to be re-pleated. Sleeptime #9092-8 just the bottoms and curlers extra accessories that are without a doubt Tammy's: Black patent hand bag with gold chain transistor radio in red and blue radio in case with handle red carry all bag with tote handle from cutie co-ed (also have the red shoes, tights, and as noted above, the transistor radio in case) Tennis racket in square case from Tennis the Menace Misty's floral dress Tammy's dad original striped red & white button down shirt with tag (does have spot, but have not tried to clean this item) Tammy's dad red vest #94631- Misty floral terry cloth wrap robe (missing tie) Calico Lassie Ellie May Clampett Doll dress, jumper, pant and top After school ping pong paddles with ball Fur N Formal with a substitute fur wrap much more lush than original but also vintage Misty ia shown wearing a coordinating formal with a wrap in similar fabric to Tammy's dress though untagged Pepper Cats Meow blue check cardigan and white sleeveless top Fit N Flare with black clutch handbag and high heel sandals Garden Party dress (missing hat) Littlechamp family pieces: plaid cape, dress Tammy white lace robe with mock fur trim and blue silk/satin gown Pos'N Tammy Original one piece bow top red unitard outfit Misty grown up white pumps Pepper Teacher's Pet #9308-8 tote bag Tammy tagged pink & white striped blouseThere are many and more mix and match pieces tagged from the Tammy family as well! The two cases included are both Ideal Toy Corp. One is the double sided Pepper and Dodi Case in very good condition and the second is the fashion model single doll case with pink interior. Also in excellent condition, very clean with drawer in nearly un used shape! *Props are not included such as in the winter scenes and the standing closets. If it doesn't catch my eye, if I wouldn't be excited to receive it, I won't list it! I truly enjoy receiving a well wrapped package in which items are clean and well presented and I do so with items I sell as well! Typically, we run our listings as a traditional auction with a very low start and no reserve. However, as such, we ask that there be no returns as it's both too difficult to keep track of such large inventoried listings and the postage is simply too high. So, get those questions in prior to end of auction rather than post win!
