ITEM DESCRIPTION: Vintage Mexican abalone jointed fish pendant with 5 moveable segments. This is just an incredible piece of art - amazingly realistic detail with separate abalone "scales", round pieces for the eyes, and check out the mouth on this big guy! The pendant measures 2 3/4" long and 1" wide at the head, 1 1/4" at the tips of the tail. It is not marked, probably due to it being an older piece, and t's not enough metal showing for me to tell if it is silver or alpaca but it is definitely representative of Mexican abalone work. T is one abalone scale missing but it is not very noticeable due to the underlying texture w the piece went - should be an easy repair with a small piece of abalone. Don't let this be "the one that got away!" PLEASE NOTE: Vintage jewelry items will not be cleaned as many collectors prefer the aged patina of vintage items. Also, earring backs (clutches) may be missing due to the age of the items. If I have the backs, they will be included. PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE BIDDING!
