HUGE VINTAGE MUNISING MAPLE WOOD BOWL WITH BIRDSEYE MAPLE MUNISING WOODENWARE COMPANY MUNISING, MICHIGAN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH DEEP AGED PATINA You don't find Munising Bowls very often in this size and condition. Actually, this is largest Munising Maple Dough or Butter Bowl that I have ever seen in my past 20 years of collecting Munising Bowls. Marked on the bottom with the classic Munising trademark of the Munising Woodenware Company of Munising, Michigan. The style of the mark indicates that this bowl was made in the 1940's. What a fantastic find!! This amazing Munising Maple Bowl is Huge measuring 16 inches by 15 1/4 inches (out of round due to age) and is 5 inches deep. The outter rim measures one inch across. T are areas of this bowl which are Birdseye Maple as well. This great old bowl is in Excellent Condition with no splits, cracks or chips. T are aged related chop marks on the inside of the bowl due to use. The aged patina is wonderful - varying light and dark shades throughout the bowl. T is even a flat worn area on the outside of the bowl w it was laid in the lap or place on the knee while kneading dough or mixing ingredients.
