Vintage YELLOW glaze BAUER pottery BOWL number 3 HUGE
FRESH from old estate as part of nest of EIGHT bowls We have just acquired a nest of EIGHT Bauer Pottery and Yellowware bowls, FRESH from an old estate in Southern California. This mixed nest of bowls works great in a Spanish style kitchen; colors are vivid and beautiful together! The largest bowl has a diameter of 15"; the smallest has a diameter of 5 1/4". Please watch our auctions; the bowls will all be listed separately. 1930's vintage BAUER POTTERY bowl with footed base and rolled shoulder, vivid Chinese YELLOW glaze, number '3' incised on bottom (t are also letters on the bottom; hard to read because of the thickness of the glaze. We believe it reads: 'Bauer Pottery'). A huge 13 3/4" in diameter; 6 1/4" tall. 'As Found' condition: As can be seen in the attached photographs, t is a chip on the foot. The bowl 'rings' when tapped and we can find no cracks or other chips. We do want to say that the shade of yellow is just a bit different (brighter, more vivid) than the photos show; Bauer collectors who are familiar with the various colors will know the correct shade. Second-to-largest bowl in 'nest' (shown below). A great early HEAVY bowl! Guaranteed to please! Being sold with NO RESERVE. Thank you for your interest in this auction.
