This is a real wolf ( Canis lupus) pelt that was legallyharvested in Canada . This beautiful gray wolf measures just over 6 feet in length from nose to tip of tail. This is a very well furred, winter wolf with gray coloration and has all four feet attached. The belly is even well furred. The fur is thick with some guard hairs measuring 5" long. The fur is very thick and heavy. There are no rubs on this pelt either. The pelt was tanned at a professional, full-time fur tannery, therefore the leather is very soft and pliable.

This is my last wolf this season. This unique pelt would look great on the wall of yourhunting cabin, fishing lodge, rec room, den or man cave; it'd be a great addition to any room with a western themed decor, mountain man theme, or rustic decor. This pelt is not green (green means untanned and not ready to hang on the wall and not preserved for a lifetime plus). This pelt is ready to hang on the wall as soon as you pull it out of the box! You can see from my feedback that I am honest and deal with quality pelts. !

I always mention all flaws, regardless of how minor. You would be hard pressed to ever find a perfect pelt that doesn't have any type of damage or hole. Most other sellers do not describe any of these flaws, but I prefer to be up front and describe them all so you know exactly what you are getting. I don't try to take pictures from a certain angle to hide damage or do a 'comb over' to try to hide bare spots. I try to take forthright pictures and you can see if any of the flaws mentioned are visible in the pictures. The damage to this pelt includes the following: There are some small hole in the nose (see photo) and a marble-sized hole in the forehead. There is an approx 2"x2" bare spot on the back of each ear. There are two 3"x2" bare spots on the side of the neck. There is a pea-sized hole in one of these bare-spots. There is a 1" cut in a front leg and a marble-sized hole in a front arm-pit. There is a 0.5" and a 0.25" cut on a rear leg. There is a 6.5" cut in the back of the pelt, running to the base of the tail, that was sewn and repaired at the tannery (see photo for this). These are all pretty minor, but I mention all flaws. Please, check my feedback and you will find extremely pleased customers whose feedback confirms that my pelts are great quality and accurately described (to the best of my ability). (Please don't let my descriptions of any holes or 'flaws' scare you away; I just prefer that my customers know everything about the pelt before they buy it and not after they receive it. If you're considering another pelt, use the 'ask seller a question' option to ask them to describe any holes or flaws. )

The necessary CITES documentation is provided with this pelt. We will sell only within the USA . We can not sell / Ship to residents of New York or California .

Taxidermists: Most of my pelts are garment tanned, thus the ears are not turned and the lip not split.

All pelts offered are legally harvested from secure populations. Documentation of origin and legal take is required by law for wolves to assure that threatened populations are protected. This documentation (CITES) is provided.
