ALASKAN CARIBOU ANTLERS This is a big set of absolutely beautiful Alaskan Barron Ground Caribou antlers. The condition of this set of antlers is extremely good with hard bone nice natural brown color. There is over 40 points on this rack. The top main beams are extremely massive. The diameter around the main beams at the top curve is 7 1/2". The length of the main beams is approximately 55 inches. The longest points on the top of the beam is 12 inches. The longest lower points are 22 inches. From bottom to top in height is 49 inches. The diameter around the burrs is 9 1/2 inches. There is a little bit of one of the lower points broken of at an angle (see photo) so it still looks like a natural point...hard to notice. One more very small chip on one of the small points on the top...also hard to notice. Has a very thin spray of clear shellac in places but can be easily removed with steel wool. I have had this set in my collection for a couple of years and am moving and will have less room at the new house...so now this beautiful set is available. My 16 year old son is holding them and he is 5' 10" and weighs 145 pounds to give you a comparison in the size of the antlers. This is a very impressive set of caribou antlers and will look great horn mounted or mounted on a caribou cape. They are now priced at a good deal for such a nice rack.
