Very minimal (if any) utensil marks; no chips or cracks found. The lids also fit the bean cannister and the cookie jar. Marked on bottom Oven Proof U.S.A. This dinnerware is great for storing leftovers; goes right to the oven from the fridge! These are heavy duty, durable dishes. I have way too many dishes and need to clear out my overfilled cabinets.
