I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. I'm excited to offer these to you with low opening bids and NO RESERVE!!! This is a unique piece from Hull Pottery, a Granada / Mardi Gras pattern No. 48 9" Vase. It was manufactured in the '40's. This vase measures approximately 9" tall, 6" across the widest middle part, and 3.5" deep. The bottom has impressed markings "U.S.A., 48 9" ." It is in superb condition with no problems noted - t are a few minor things to note that are from the factory. T are a few pinprick-sized black dots, white dots and holes in the glaze and t on the vase. The inside walls are clean, but it may have been used at one time as t is some darker residue inside the hollow handles and in the edges of the inside bottom. I'm being very picky - these are very minor things and t are no chips, cracks, or repairs noted on this piece. This matte finish Granada Vase is nicely colored - rose pink shading to cream shading to baby blue. I've been having photo malfunction and m y pictures are tending to have a yellowish cast due to the lighting which does not do justice to the beauty of the colors. An unusual Hull piece for your collection. Book value (2003 Book) was $85-$110 - no idea what it runs currently. This pattern was produced exclusively for Woolworth's. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures. Please ask any questions before bidding to make sure you are happy with your purchase, as all sales are final unless I've made a big boo-boo, like shipping you the wrong item or making a gross error in the description.
