HULL POTTERY WINDOW BOX BUTTERFLY MATTE Offered for sale is this lovely Hull Pottery Window Box in the matte Butterfly pattern. The window box is adorned with pink and blue flowers and one each of a black, blue and pink butterfly. The interior of the piece is turquoise with gold matte scalloped edging. It measures 12 3/4'' x 4 1/4'' and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The bottom of the window box reads ``HULL USA B8 `56''. The A.E. Hull Pottery company began in 1905 for the manufacture of stoneware. In the late 1930's, Hull began producing its line of matte finished pastel art pottery, for which it is best known. The pieces are marked with letters and numbers to identify pattern - in this case B8. They also carry the year when the pattern was introduced, for this piece, 1956.
