I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. I love to combine shipping and if you are looking for a particular piece, just let me know. If she has it, I can arrange a special auction for you. A rare chance to obtain hard-to-find pieces to add to your collection at bargain prices, especially if you take advantage of combined shipping. I'm excited to offer these to you with low opening bids and NO RESERVE!!! This is a cleverly designed piece from Hull Pottery, a Woodland pattern No. W-16 8 1/2" Vase. It was manufactured in the '40's and is distinguished from the 1950s Woodland molds by the yellow center in the flower, which was only made pre-1950. Later Woodland molds had a closed flower center. This vase measures approximately 8.75" tall, 8" wide, and 5" deep. The bottom has raised markings "Hull, W16-8 1/2", U.S.A. ." T is also a "32" scratched into the bottom - probably the person who did the hand painting, and some pencil markings - a "23" and something else I can't make out. It is in excellent condition with no exterior flaws that I could find. The inside has some dark lines that look kind of like crazing. The inside walls are clean. T are a few brownish spots on the bottom. I'm being very picky - these are very minor things and t are no chips, cracks, or repairs noted on this piece. This matte finish Woodland Vase is uniquely designed - the base is shaped like a quartet of leaves and the hadles are like branches or vines - all in a nice mossy green. The upper part has a lovely pale yellow background with blue and pink flowers and green leaves on front and back. I've been having photo malfunction and m y pictures are tending to have a yellowish cast due to the lighting which does not do justice to the beauty of the colors. A unique Hull piece for your collection. Book value (2003 Book) was $230-$295 - no idea what it runs currently. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures. Please ask any questions before bidding to make sure you are happy with your purchase, as all sales are final unless I've made a big boo-boo, like shipping you the wrong item or making a gross error in the description. Thank you! Non-smoking home.Check out my other listings and save on combined shipping while adding to your collection. I only charge actual shipping - no padding. Please let me know when you are done shopping and I will send a combined invoice with shipping discount. Insurance is required on all breakable or high-value items to protect both of us.SORRY, NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. PLEASE BID ONLY IF YOU HAVE A U.S. ADDRESS TO SHIP TO. THANKS!
