I am helping my mother to liquidate her extensive collection of vintage original Hull Pottery and will be listing several pieces at a time until it is all gone. I love to combine shipping and if you are looking for a particular piece, just let me know. If she has it, I can arrange a special auction for you. A rare chance to obtain hard-to-find pieces to add to your collection at bargain prices, especially if you take advantage of combined shipping. I'm excited to offer these to you with low opening bids and NO RESERVE!!! This is a beautiful signed set from Hull Pottery, a Tokay (later versions were known as Tuscany) pattern Tea Set, including No. 16 Teapot and lid, No. 17 Open Creamer, and 18 Sugar Bowl and lid. It was manufactured in the late '50's. The teapot measures approximately 7.5" tall including lid and 6" from handle to spout. The bottom has impressed markings "16, Tokay, USA." You have to hold it at an angle to read the markings, and then they are pretty clear, but the glaze on these pieces is quite thick. I've enclosed extra photos to help you see the marks. The creamer measures approx. 3.5" tall and 4" from handle to spout. The bottom has impressed markings "17, Tokay, USA." The sugar bowl measures approx. 3.75" with lid, and 4.5" from handle to handle. The bottom has impressed markings "18, Tokay, USA." The teapot's body is in pretty much perfect condition. The inside walls and bottom are clean and pristine. The lid has a large chip out of the underside, which does not show when displaying, nor does it affect the performance of the teapot (see photo). It stays secure when in pouring position. The creamer appears to be in perfect condition, and the inside and bottom are clean and pristine. It does have a small stray green glaze spot on the back leaf side (see photo). On the sugar bowl, t are a few black pindots on the back side and a few pinholes of missed glaze on the top rim. The lid has two small paint flakes on the top and one side. The inside and bottom of the bowl are clean and pristine. This glossy finish Tokay Teaset is very elegant - a background of pure white, with green grapes and leaves decorating the front and grape leaves adorning the back. The handles are darker green and cleverly resemble vines. A gorgeous Hull set for your collection. 2003 Book Value on the teapot alone was $175 - $225, I have no idea what it runs now. The creamer and sugar were listed at $75 - $105 each in 2003. I have tried to describe this piece and any flaws or items of interest that I have detected in great detail, and have also provided several pictures. Please ask any questions before bidding to make sure you are happy with your purchase, as all sales are final unless I've made a big boo-boo, like shipping you the wrong item or making a gross error in the description. Thank you! Non-smoking home. Check out my other listings and save on combined shipping while adding to your collection. I only charge actual shipping - no padding. Please let me know when you are done shopping and I will send a combined invoice with shipping discount. Insurance is required on all breakable or high-value items to protect both of us. SORRY, NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. PLEASE BID ONLY IF YOU HAVE A U.S. ADDRESS TO SHIP TO. THANKS!
