HULL USA Pottery, 1940-1942 , Iris 7 3/8" Floral Vase, Pastel Colored Blossoms and Foliage, Blended Colors, with Delicate Looped Side Handles, and Very Unusual Shapely Top Rim. Excellent Condition . Crisp Mold Relief pattern features 2 fully opened blossoms with accompanying tall leafy foliage on one side, with a single blossom on the reverse side, also with tall leafy foliage. Blossoms and foliage are in pastel pinks, yellows, and pale greens, against a background blending pink into powder blue, all with a soft satiny matte glaze. The pink to blue blending is also along the outside of its very graceful side handles. Three level stepped dome base. A very unique and special feature of this vase is its outwardly flared and fluted scalloped rim, which is divided into 8 panels, and resembles an open flower blossom. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, or repairs. 7 3/8" tall, 5" wide at its handles, 3 3/4" top rim diameter, and a sturdy 3 1/8" base diameter. Weighs 1 1/4 lbs. This unique vintage item would make a lovely decorative and useful table or cabinet vase, most certain to be noticed and admired. See all photos and enlargements below.
