Up for auction is a rare early Hummel. This beautiful old Hummel figure Whitsuntide has been called by many names and has been reproduced but only the early pieces have the angel holding a candle. This little angel is holding a candle. The piece has the full bee Trademark number 2 on the split base and is marked Mold #163. Known as Whitsuntide, it is 7 1/4" high, with a base measuring 2 1/2" x 2 3/4". This great piece is marked Germany . A few condition issues to note: T is a small chip on the angel's wing, very small nick on the edge of the base, please see the photographs below. Apart from these imperfections the piece is in very good condition.
