Hummel Figurine "Prayer Before Battle" TM 2 Full Bee "Prayer Before Battle" Hummel #20 Trademark 2 - Full Bee Year - 1950 -1959 Germany is stamped on the bottom of the base Condition - Excellent ( T are no chips, cracks, restoration, or staining. T is however some crazing beginning on the base, and a light spot in the glaze on the tip of the flag). Dimensions - 4.5" in height and the base is 3.75 x 2.75" A sweet Hummel figurine to purchase for a unique gift, as the value only increases, or to add to your Hummel Collection. The charming porcelain Hummel figurines were based on sketches by a Franciscan nun, Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel of Germany. They depict young children in a whimsical everyday life situations. This one, "Prayer Before B attle", depicts a young boy praying with his pretend horse; a toy horse on wheels. Ready for battle, he dresses in "battle" boots, carries a flag, and a buggle is slung over his arm. Incised on the base is M I Hummel. This piece still has vibrant colors, and is still very sweet.
