What an elegant, graceful Goebel, "Hummel SHEPHERD with SHEEP" . He has always been displayed in my living room Book Shelves with the complete Nativity Set from the 1979-1980's period. I will be listing the rest of the set over the next week or two. Since I am downsizing, It is time to pass these beautiful pieces on to someone else. The Shepherd is in Mint Condition. He is in my favorite figure in the Nativity scene-just muted colors and gorgeous to look at. Under the Shepherd are the words : "GOEBEL W.Germany" ; Painter's Initials and "81" in ink; and incised numbers : " 1951" "214/F" "38" and incised words : "M.I. Hummel" on the bottom of the back of his cloak. The Shepherd is standing tall with two delicate Sheep. To me he always looked kind and a bit awed of the Family in the Manger. He measures about 4 inches across, 7 inches high and 3 inches in depth at the widest part. He was always kept in a smoke-free, pet-free, air cleaned, dry environment (I have tons of allergies!!! Air must be CLEAN!!! LOL !!!) A must have if you have a Hummel Nativity; or if you are beginning a treasured Set. ***"FREE GIFT" of a Hummel or Goebel Item included. ***Buyer must pay for Insurance on final purchase price if over $50.00!!!! ****Will ship outside U.S.A; please contact me for shipping fees before bidding. All shipments outside the U.S.A. are required to have an additional fee of $1.10 for a "CERTIFICATE OF MAILING" to be issued by the Post Office for "First Class Mail International" only. I feel that it may give a bit more security to an uninsured shipping method. International Buyers – Please Note: · Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. · Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
