The Hunting of the Snark.Illustrated Mervyn Peake.1941 Please keep an eye on my auctions over the next few weeks, I will be auctioning off some great books all starting at 99p and with free UK shipping (I can't extend shipping offer overseas - sorry- but I have reduced it and happy to combine). I am happy to wait for other auctions to end if you are interested in a few items and they should come on stream over the next few days and weeks.On offer is a Chatto and Windus Zodiac book The Hunting of the Snark by Lewis Carroll, illustrated by Mervyn Peake. Published 1941 and a first edition thus. Slim volume with 45 pages, condition fair to good, protected by unatached perspex cover, boards a bit grubby and some minor bashing and bruising to extremities. Small blemish (like a brown foxing spot) to several pages at top right, affecting around 5 or 6 pages with a larger spot (one inch square approx). Overall though fair and robust. Previous owners bold name in pencil to front end-flap
