Kasmir biscuit tin by Huntley and Palmer. This rare tin was made to resemble an oriental table in 1904 and only 10,000 were produced. It is beautifully decorated and has seven animal heads featured on it; described in the "H&P" catalogue as "Sporting Trophies". hey also made two other tables with different designs, "Cairo" 1902 and "Syrian" 1903. It is rare to see this tin and the only other one I could find for information is listed in the Victoria and Albert museum, London. Condition: Overall it is good but there are a couple of very small areas where it is scratched. One of the legs is slightly bent due to the soft metal. I have tried to show this as honestly as possible in the photo's.It is over a hundred years old and as I have never tried to clean it i'm sure it could use a clean as it is slightly tarnished. Size in inches: 6 and 1/2 by 6 and 1/2 by 6 and 1/2 tall.
