Spring Cleaning! Up for bid is an almost complete set of Hurley's Journals/ Paddle & Portage Quarterly Magazines from the beginning Spring 1999 to when he stopped publication Fall 2003. Missing are Winter 2000, Winter 2001, Spring 2003, Summer 2003.15 issues in all. Mike Hurley went on Canoe Camping trips with his Family and eventually with a few lucky readers to such destinations as the Adirondacks, the NJ Pine Barrens, the Suwannee River, New River, Potomac, Cumberland, Algonquin Park Canada, Manitoba, Canada, Maine, and many more. Detailed and entertaining trip reports, pictures and information you can use to go there yourself, Maps, Packing Tips, reviews on Camping Equipment and more. Not really dated, Most information is still usable today. Totally B/W with photos and Drawings. 4 or 5 articles per issue. No advertising 24 to 28 pages per issue. Measures 8.5 x 7 inches. Decent stored condition maybe very slight scuffing (to be picky). A piece of Canoe Tripping History so Hate to just throw them out! No Reserve so good luck bidding! Because of the Canadian Postal strike I've altered the shipping details to UPS. Sorry for any inconvience. If the situation changes by the end of the Auction I can change it back.
