Clearing out closets of various items. Up for sale is an original and minty set of the twelve floats that consisted of the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans immediately after hurricane Katrina. The theme of parade is very evident of the opinions and feelings of the inhabitants of NOLA. Everyone from the Army Corps of Engineers, the Police Department, Mayor Nagle, Governor Blanco, President Bush, Red McCombs and more had their detractors and hecklers taking it out on them. The cards were a parade item given out, much like the tokens or doubloons that are tossed into the crowd. T was a newspaper insert of these very floats depicted on the cards that was printed in the local newspaper advertising the theme of the parade. The cards are in mint condition, full color and description of each float on the back of the card. The cards come in their own little holder. This is a very piece of fine and rare Mardi Gras and NOLA history. These items sold like hotcakes when they first came out and it is unknown how many are around. Please see pics. All sales final. High bidder will pay for shipping/packing and postage and delivery confirmation. Insurance is optional and is responsibility for high bidder.
