Beautiful 22" necklace, including a 2 1/2" extention that looks to be newer, lays very dramactically across a bare chest. The top of the pendant to the last rhinestone at the bottom is four inches. No stones are missing or loose. The Husar. D signature is visible on the back of the pendant. The bracelet is 7" long and has a new clasp. It is 1 3/4" wide at it's widest. No missing or lose stones. The Husar. D signature (not captured in photos) is on the back of the bracelet near the clasp. About Husar. D: This example is a of a type of jewelry assigned to a Czech jewelry designer, usually said to have been a 'top vintage jewelry maker.' Pieces described as having been made by this person will often be described as 'made by hand.' Husár is usually touted in glowing descriptions as a true artist who crafted his pieces in Jablonec (Gablonz), Czechoslovakia. Sometimes a specific time frame is suggested for the era in which a piece of jewelry bearing this mark was made. Other times no specific date is actually given, but a pre-1945 date is suggested by including statements like this one: "From 1920 until 1940, Czech jewelry makers used what they called "heavy soldering," so the back of the necklace is quite sturdily soldered with a base metal on what appears to be copper or a copper finish.
