Wonderful Hutschenreuther Figure / Figurine of Don Quixote by Carl Werner. Part of the Pferd und Reiter / Horse and Rider Series as shown in the book Edles Porzellan , Figuren der Porzellanfabrik Lorenz Hutschenreuther A. G., Self/Baynern, published in 1960. Excellent Condition Height: 7 Inches Length: 7 Inches Carl Werner, born June 6, 1895 in Rudolstadt / Thuringia. From 1910 - 1914 practical training in the Altesen Volkstudter Porzellan Manufaktur. After World War I study at the University of Art (later Bauhaus) in Weimar. Engaged as a sculptor and technical head of the Art Department of Porzellanfabrik Lorenz Hutschenreuther beginning at 1922. Don Quixote, Knight of the rueful countenance, symbol of the imperturbable idealist who is unaware of reality. Don Quixote ( /ˌ dɒ n k i� ˈ ho� t i� /; Spanish: [ˈdoŋ kiˈxote] , fully titled The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha ( Spanish : El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha ), is a novel written by Miguel de Cervantes .
