This beautiful service for 12 china set with serving pieces was manufactured at the C.M. Hutschenreuther factory in Hohenberg, Germany and the bottom bears the manufacturer's mark with some having the red number 04742(see photographs).Hutschenreuther introduced this pattern in1957 and named it "Hohenberg".The initials "C" and "M" are the first letters of the name of the founder of the Hutschenreuther companies.This Eames era "Hohenberg" pattern features a glossy white background trimmed in platinum.This is a very elegant pattern in fine Bavarian china and was used only once, so it is in excellent condition with no chips,crazing,staining or cracks.Our consignee purchased this set shortly after 1957 in Europe.This is what is included in this 96 piece set: 12 dinner plates - 9 3/4" 12 salad plates - 7 3/4" 12 bread plates - 6 1/4" 12 soup bowls - 8 5/8" 12 sauce or dessert bowls - 5 1/8" 12 cups - 2 1/2" tall by 3 3/4" wide at the opening 12 saucers 1 serving bowl with lid - 11 1/4" wide by 3" tall 1 sugar bowl with lid - 3" by 4 1/4" 1 tall beverage server with lid - 8" tall 1 small platter - 8 1/4" by 5 3/4" 1 medium platter - 13" by 8 1/2" 1 large platter - 15" by 9 3/4" 1 lidded gravy boat with platinum trimmed ladle and attached base This type of design, simple yet elegant, will fit into any home decor.Thank you for looking.PLEASE read more
