Pedigree- Hy-Lo, made in Japan by Ze-Non sometime in the mid 60âe(tm)s. Close cousin to many other cool Japanese guitars of the period, such as Teisco.Materials/ Hardware- Neck is solid mahogany (nato?), body most likely is good quality laminate. Nice rosewood fingerboard.THE GOLD FOIL PICKUPS!!! Electronics work fine!Nice working trem, all hardware is original except for a replacement nut.Condition- Some dings & finish chips, but overall very clean & cool looking. Electronics work great, and those pickups ROCK!!!!! Trem works well for surf & country, this has a larger third string for better intonation on the non-tunamatic bridge. I removed one bridge mounting screw & angled the bridge for proper intonation.Neck/ playability/ action- Slightly chunky neck, not as fat as old ones âe¦..quite straight, and plays very nice. No truss rod, but looks like t may be a re-enforcement rod hiding in t Trem will come back in tune, used like the old school guys! Good action, decent fret job for a budget blaster- fun to play!Tonality- KILLER!!!!!!!! Tone to the bone, rude, ballsy, and right in your face for blues, old rock, or rockabilly. Itâe(tm)s da bomb!! read more
