ICHIKO Tin Friction 1961 Buick Fire Chief 15" NMIB Offered is a stunning 15 1/2" long tin friction 1961 Buick Invicta Fire Chief car. Made by Ichiko of Japan in the 1960s, it is clean as new and in near mint, unplayed condition, complete with all parts intact including original box. Finished as a Fire Chief car, this stately command vehicle has great graphics including fire department crest on roof. Showing no play wear, the bright red finish has a wonderful luster with no dents or dings, and shows only some factory touch up and typical minor age spider webbing. Polished trim shines all shines like chrome with no trace of tarnish or rust. Blue tinted plastic window "glass" is crystal clear with no cracks or breaks, and both are still firmly attached. Colorful litho interior with separate large plastic steering wheel is a delight to see. Tires are all flawless and are adorned with Buck inscribed hubcaps. Original radio antenna will not come loose, but does have a wobble to it. Flat black base is pristine showing no wear at all. Friction motor with siren sound runs like new; long, strong and smooth. Roof mounted emergency light rotates 360 degrees when engine is engaged and windshield wipers (with simulated rubber blades!) move back and forth.
