Here is a marked Shirley Temple Composition Doll made by the Ideal Doll Co. in the 1930's. She is 18" tall. Both head and torso are marked Shirley Temple 18. The marking on the head is light but you know that's what it is. The torso is very distinct. Her wig is great with lots of curls. I see not repaint and the composition is good. There is one spot behind one ear that has a crack and is lifting. The other ear in front has a place where it looks like someone has put glue there. Maybe there was a spot of lifting there and someone did that, I don't know. There are a couple of craze lines on the doll's right leg up high. She could us restringing. She has center snap shoes and rayon socks. I'm assuming they are original. One piece is off the bow one show. The one piece teddy is homemade I think. The dress is original and I believe an unusual one to fine. It has the two little white scottie dogs on it. The dress has 2 white buttons on the back. The label is at the waist. It's a stitched tag and says Shirley Temple NRA Doll Dress Reg. U.S. Pat. Off Ideal Nov. & Toy Co. U.S. CODE, (there is a figure in blue that looks like maybe a bird?) I don't think the dress has ever been washed or pressed. It looks good to me. Luckily it is behind the ear. The doll's face has nice cheek coloring and I only see a few very light craze lines by the eye. I have not cleaned her at all.I will leave that to her new owner. She's from a smoke free environment.Buyer to pay $20 for shipping, insurance and handling. Thanks for viewing.
