This auction is for a Ifugao. mans loincloth , loin cloth, g string or gee string. It feels coarse but may soften with wear and washing. Measures about 9 inches wide, 92 inches long and has about 2 inch pom poms on each end. Colors are a black or very dark navy blue, yellow and red. The red and yellow other than the pom poms is embrodery work and it is about 9 and 1/2 inches on each end. The Ifguao are an ethnic minority tribe in the northern part of the island of Luzon in the Philippines. I accrued a small collection of items of the ethnic minority people while stationed at Clark Air Base from 1983 to 1986. I bought this at at the Market in the summer capital of Baggio. Now that I am 70 it is time to start downsizing. If you are wanting anything in particular contact and I will list it if I have it. Insurance optional.
