VINTAGE ILER'S PURE MALT WHISKEY BOTTLEFOR SALE: A 12" tall clear-glass cylinder-shaped antique ILER'S WILLOW SPRING DISTILLERY Omaha Nebraska MALT WHISKEY bottle. This is a very early Cork Top whiskey bottle. Bottle embossed: "ILER'S MALT WHISKEY / WILLOW SPRINGS DISTILLERY", bottom "PAT. APPL'D FOR"CONDITION: Good, clear with only slight staining, no cracks or chips. Please look at pictures for condition and contact me with any questions. I have tried to point out all the defects I can see. Sometimes human errors occur and I encourage you to contact me with any questions you may have regarding this or any of my items up for sale.SHIPPING: Shipping Only USA is FREE.BACKGROUND: Taken from wikipedia; Willow Springs Distilling Company was a brewery located in south Omaha, Nebraska. Part of a national conglomerate, Willow Springs was Nebraska's first distillery, and grew to become the nation's third largest distillery before the Great Depression. Willow Springs was one of the "Big 4" brewers located in Omaha, which also included the Krug, Storz and Metz breweries. Brought to Omaha from Iowa in 1866, Willow Springs began as a "little one-horse concern" owned by J.C. McCoy. The company was seized by the federal government in 1869 in lieu of McCoy's defaulted revenue tax payments. The same year the government sold it to James G. McGrath
