Welcome to the 2014 IlluXCon Student Scholarship Auctions! Up for bid here is a beautiful shrunken head sculpture by renowned artist Tom Kuebler! Molded in silicon, the piece features hand-laid and hand-poked hair. Tom's shrunken heads tend to be difficult to come by, as they sell as fast as he can produce them. The head is 4" from top of head to chin, and the hair is 9" long. (Stand not included in auction.) Donated by Tom Kuebler. The IlluXCon Scholarship auctions help us to award all-expense paid trips to IX for the best student artists in the fantastic art/illustration field. For the past five years, we have given out full-paid scholarships per year to some of the brightest young stars in the field. Previous scholarship winners are now in prestigious galleries and working for major clients like Playboy, ImagineFX, Wizards of the Coast, and many others. Shipping costs and information are approximate - certain items will need to be shipped via FedEx, especially to overseas buyers, so exact shipping costs will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
