IMARI MIJIN-KARAKUSA TOKKURI

Authentic fine ' Imari ', ' Sometsuke ' ( Blue & White porcelain ) 'Mijin-Karakusa' ( detailed arabesque ) patterned ' Tokkuri ' ( Sake bottle ), f rom around late Edo period in mid 19th century. A splendid antique masterwork of the traditional tiny karakusa pattern. It also looks beautiful to use this tokkuri as a flower vase. The condition of this tokkuri is mint but a few 'Ishihaze' ( picture#8&9 / * Ishihaze forms when small stones in the clay burst to the surface during firing. ) However, we consider that its Ishihaze stand out more patina for this tokkuri. Please see 'Larger pictures' carefully, and feel the patina from its beautiful 'Keshiki' ( /html/keshiki-landscapes.html ).

Type - Imari, Sometsuke Mijin-Karakusa Tokkuri

Made - around late Edo period in mid 19th century.

Size - about H 10.68 x D 6.2 in (26.7 x 15.5 cm)

Condition - Mint for the age but a few Ishihaze ( picture#8&9 ). * Please check the images and judge by yourself as your responsibility.
