Hello everyone. Welcome to my auctions. INTRODUCTION : for auction I am presenting an extremely " rare " and " hard to find " tray in the elegant glass " CANDLEWICK " pattern in crystal. The " CANDLEWICK " pattern was produced by the IMPERIAL GLASS CORPORATION from Bellaire, Ohio. IMPERIAL is one of the most known and admired names in american glass history. From 1936 untill the factory closed in 1984, one pattern -CANDLEWICK, LINE # 400 - has remained a favorite with collectors, and it is probably the most popular, recognized and collected IMPERIAL GLASS pattern sought after by glass collectors in america. " CANDLEWICK " is the jewell of IMPERIAL . The " CANDLEWICK " pattern is easily recognized by its beaded edge. " CANDLEWICK " hand crafted crystal is elegant, simple and practical. ITEM BESCRIPTION : I am presenting a very gorgeous small tray. The tray has a round shape. The tray has a beaded open heart shaped handle at the center. The sides of the tray are " UP - TURNED " or " CUPPED " . The tray has a diameter of aprox. 7 - 1/2 inches. This tray was produced by IMPERIAL for one year only. It was produced only in 1943 making this tray a very " hard to find " an a very " rare " piece. This piece was advertised by IMPERIAL as a " HANDLED BON BON TRAY, 7 - 1/2 INCHES, # 400/1491 " .
