WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Imperial Glass Company IMPERIAL GRAPE PUNCH BOWL 3 pc. SET in gorgeous MARIGOLD base glass consisting of a punch bowl, base and one punch cup. The whole set displays VIVID, Rich, MULTI-COLOR IRIDESCENCE! A Rainbow of colors on each piece. A superior example in every way! Its always tough to find Marigold pieces with great color...and if you are searching...look no further! It is the nicest Marigold example I've ever ran across. Imperial did it right on this Punch Bowl Set. It is an old, vintage set, not marked in any way. The beautiful iridescence makes it an exquisite display set...an absolute pleasure to view on display. It is a wonderful investment quality set of glass. I have included several photos of the set so you can see for yourself. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a set like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this set in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) The whole set is in excellent condition ! No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs on any piece! No major detractions whatsoever. T are a few scattered manufacturing stretch marks, you must really search for them. Nothing u ncommon. The bases of all pieces are very nice with minimum shelf wear present...you must really look closely to see anything at all. T are a few small, enclosed manufacturing bubbles also, very, very small. Nothing uncommon. The interior of the Punch Bowl exhibits no wear that I can see at all, it is excellent. I think the close-up pictures prove this well...please take a look. I don't think any of it has been used for anything but display its whole life. The edge treatment is super nice and even. T is some tiny flecks of loss of iridescence right on the very edge of the rim...pin-head sized...very tiny. Most will need a good magnifying glass to see them. Nothing uncommon. Simply...it is very slight wear. T hat is all I can find on this SUPERB, gorgeous set. I've looked it over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. Simply...it is an outstanding investment quality set of glass, THE BEST of the BEST! This set is a SUPERIOR EXAMPLE. I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. It is the finest of examples of what Carnival Glass is all about. You won't find a better one if you drove the tires off of your car. It has been taken care of and is very clean.
