Imperial German soldiers of WW1 often wore well crafted service rings to bolster their fighting spirit, and commemorate their service time. This Imperial German Army WW1 "SIEG ODER TOD" SERVICE RING is in good condition, with moderate age patina around the interior and top and bottom edges, some light scattered age patina around the exterior, and with some light chipping to the small enameled portion (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the ring is in fine shape, with absolutely no cracking or other damage. Most interestingly, it carries "SIEG ODER TOD" (translating to 'Victory Or Death') in relief, along with the date, "1914", and bears a finely enameled Imperial German tricolor flag. A fine example of a rare, original Imperial German Army WW1 "SIEG ODER TOD" SERVICE RING.
