In this auction we are offering a historical document of significant rarity. A set of 18, original, full color plates issued through authorization of the Bavarian Court Jeweler Jacob Leser. The color plates display all Bavarian Orders and decorations, including ribbons in one to one scale. Service medals for colonial and foreign service are also represented. This important document set was produced in two styles. The first as lithograph plates in a complete book detailing all regulations and manufacture of the Orders and Individual sets of color plates, individually packaged in a folder. The set being offered is the Ausgabe B., individual set of color plates in their original protection jacket. These are the finest representation, and two my knowledge, the only production, dedicated to Imperial Bavarian Orders and medals in 1:1 full color tinted photos. The color is true to the originals, presented in correct registry. Their quality is such that they would individulally produce marvelous framed art. This set is from my private collection and was originally purchased during my tour in Germany with the U.S. Army in the early1970's
The set comes with 18 full color plates in a 26 cm by 36cm format. Two plates display King Luitpold in his resplendent Grand Master Robes, for the order of St. Gorger and the second in the Robes of the Grand Master for the Order of St. Hubertus. The example of him wearing the robes of the St. George order are provided The remaining sixteen plates show the complete arena of Bavarian orders and decorations, impressively presented from Grand Crosses to service medal which include 227 individual, natural sized photos. They are, tfore, a necessity for the advanced Bavarian and Imperial German collector. A must have resource for Imperial German Phaleristics! The winning bidder is required to contact me by email, within three (4) days of the auctions close, with their full name, shipping address and method of payment ( Pay Pal payment email notice will suffice as notification). The winning bidder has four (4) days, following receipt of the item to notify me of any problems or concerns about the item. (through email or telephone). If we are contacted as requested, the winning bidder will be given ten (10) working days, from the close of the auction, to submit full payment. Buyers of items with a winning bid of over $1,000.00 will be given (15) working days to make full payment. Any additional time needed for payment must be agreed to via telephone. I will provide my telephone number with email request. Foreign bidders are responsible for any customs fees due. Payments must be made in either PAYPAL (preferred ), bank cashiers check, or money order drawn upon a U.S. Bank, (American Express Travelers Checks in example . Cash payments will be accepted only by Registered U.S. Mail The item will be shipped by USPS priority mail, insured with return receipt (Inside the U.S. Only) or by UPS or FEDEX upon request of the purchaser.
