We offer for your consideration and bidding this very rare original Imperial German WW1 Iron Cross maked [KO] with original ribbon in it's original WW1 1914 EK2 embossed presentation case. Also we have a WW1 Imperial German wound badge in black or 3rd class.. This grouping will not be sold separately. The Iron Cross is maker marked [KO] by the Imperial German Court appointed manufactruing firm of "KONIGLICHES MUNZAMT ORDER" of Berlin, Germany. A top maker of German military awards. Made in the traditional three part construction method having 2 sterling silver frames and symbolic iron (magnetic) black center core. The ribbon is original to this medal and has been UV light tested "negative" to prove authenticity. **Extra note of additional item: Found in the award case with the EK2 and ribbon was a near mint Imperial German 1914-1918 wound badge in black having all working parts and finished in a simi high gloss black paint, an obvious officer issed piece. Now for the presetation case. Truly a rare find! We offer "as found" with the medals is the original WW1 Imperial German Iron Cross 1914 embossed presetation case. We note some age ware to the leather like material on the bottom and around the edges. The inside dark Royal purple velvet is perfect and remains as found and has not cleaned.
