A pair of frosted glass bookends by the Imperial Glass Company of Ohio. These are from the Cathay oriental giftware line. I found some references that call these "Wu Tang" - maybe the specific pattern? but these are busts - A 1999 Schiffer book describes these as "Emperors." These are somew between Depression glass and Art Deco - a streamlined, clean design with a definite Orientalia flavor. These each measure 7 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 3." Each bookend is signed but in different places - I don't know why. One has an etched signature on the lower left front and the other on the front of the left side. Each bust is in excellent condition with no wear or damage that I've found. Feel free to email any questions and thank you for looking!
