The origin of the Crackle pattern is somewhat vague, with several collectors identifying it as Imperial and others as an early Jeannette pattern. The Imperial Collector's Society makes no reference to in it's Encyclopedia's and early Jeannette patterns information is sketchy. To add to the confusion, Crackle is often misidentified as Soda Gold, which as more defined "crackle" lines giving a rougher texture. The pattern likely dates between 1920 and 1933. This listing is for a set of six (6) Individual Bowls and one (1) Master Bowl in Jeannette (or Imperial if you choose) Crackle pattern Bowls in Carnival Marigold, seven (7) total pieces. The pattern is defined by the crackle lines surrounded by fine stippling giving the bowls the "crackle glass" look. The bottom center of the bowl has a cut star pattern. The carnival coating on all the pieces of the set is nice and deep. The edges are scalloped adding elegance. The Master Bowl measures 2 7/8" high, 7 1/2" in diameter and weighs 1 lb 5.8 oz. The Individual Bowls measure 1 1/2" high, 4 3/8" in diameter and weigh 4.5 oz ea. Combined the set weighs 3 lbs 1.2 oz. General Condition: These pieces are chip and crack free.
