An impeccably enameled Imperialist Russia sterling silver/cloisonne snuff or trinket box. The box is signed in two places by renowned Moscow maker Gustav Gustavovich Klingert . Klingert showed in both the 1889 Paris and 1893 Chicago World's Fairs. The box is additionally dated 1890 and shows the Russian '84' sterling mark along with the Moscow town mark. T is an assayers initials ?O over the date mark. The cloissone is outstanding. Bright reds, pale blues, dark blues, turquoise and shades of green. All in immaculate condition with absolutely no loss, chipping or flaking. The inside of the box is gold washed. It was lightly polished for the pix. The box is free of any dings or dents and the hinge is tight. Measures 2 1/2' x 1 1/2' x 3/4'. An absolutely incredible piece of old Russian decorative silver.
