Impressive three door walnut Renaissance Revival Victorian bookcase with step out three drawer base. The case is decorated with applied carvings, buttons and raised rectangular burl panels. The step out middle section has an arched door with a finely appointed top crest. Three burl faced drawers on the bottom each have two intricately carved pulls. This bookcase is very well made. The shelves are solid black walnut. The interior of the middle drawer is signed "Buckley and Bancroft's, Boston." The locks for the bottom drawers are missing. This item came from a large Victorian mansion in Saxton's River Vt. Circa: 1870 Dimensions: 86.5"H x 86.5"W x 20"D Finish: Good Original Price: $7950.00
