Outstanding Museum Quality Moorcroft England Art Pottery Lamp. Fancy twin handled large pottery floral boquet over cobalt blue lower and cream colored upper. Just in from the estate of a top quality longtime Midewest Antique Dealer. First time offered for sale in many many years. I took the lamp apart and found the original factory paper label still affixed to the under bottom base. The lamp works fine. All metal appears original. Factory glazed over center base cord hole. This was not a vase....ever...I guarantee it. This was made as a lamp and it has stayed that way. The top metal rod finial is missing as is the shade. Fancy brass colored 4 footed base appears original and is in excellent condition as is the top brass colored plate cut out (factory) around handles as well. Pottery has no chips, nicks, cracks, repairs or damage that I can find. The bright shiny spots in some of the pictures are just background light reflections and are not wear, damage or missing paint. T is light glaze crazing on the pottery. Nothing unexpected or unsightly. No lines in the handles either. If a fabulous display piece and a large piece for Moorcroft for sure. Pottery is very heavy painted boquets on front and back. The pottery base is about 9' high and is just about 24" around its widest girth. The lamp to top of metal shade rod is 22 1/4" high. Cord is in good condition and the lamp does work fine. Twin bult pull chain sockets. Cord may have been replaced at one time but still is rather vintage. Underside base is ink marked Moorcroft as well and it may have a smudged artist signature as well. W will you find another one? Please don't ask me to end this listing early or for a buy it now price. I traveled and paid considerable to obtain it and at my starting price the risk is all mine. All I ask is for this to bring its fair market value. Winning bidder to prepay and pay $50 for professional packing plus actual insurance delivery costs. SELLING WITH NO RESERVE! GOOD LUCK!
