This is the second of two pieces acquired from an estate auction at a turn of the century farmhouse in the Shenendoah Valley. This three finger handled jug measures 16 inches tall and 13 inches at the widest point, It is ovoid and i would date it from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. It has a pour on one side, I think the glaze is a slip, pehaps an alkaline. Condition: This piece has no chips or cracks. It does has glaze miss as shown in the pics, The jug is very solid and is very good quality. My guess would be North Carolina. I have two unique jugs on auction right now so check out both of them. as always I am starting the auction at .99 with no reserve. Note These are also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason. I see no marks on this piece. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, This jug is very heavy weighing 17 pounds
