INDIAN ARTIFACT

DONUT DISCOIDAL

STONE RELIC

This Mano Indian Artifact is from my late uncle George Marfeka's (Hales Corners Wisconsin) collection. His whole life he was an advid rock, mineral, fossil, stone, arrowhead and Indian artifact collector. Today he would have been in his 90's. Many years ago he was the president of the Wisconsin Geological Society.

I'm not sure what this artifact is. I think it is a discoidal of some type. It measures approximately 4 1/2" wide 4" long and 3/4" thick. The hole opening is about 3/4". T is a number 41 written on it. I think this was my uncle's cataloging system but unfortunately we never found his documentation papers.

This artifact is not smooth. The stone is somewhat porous.
