hello fellow ebayers, up for auction is a rare archiac animal bear head effigy mortor stone,these items are super rare to come across.only a couple have been found at all,usually along the west coast.this one i personally found in licking county ohio in a deep cave system i dug out on private land.we put the age of this mortar at the archiac period,10,000 to 14,000 yrs old.probrably paleo or clovis of ohio. this piece shows its age nicely,it has some deep pitting and wear,its a wonder and rare that its survived.we believe it to be a ceremonial bear head mortar.it has a couple archiac age chips along the top ,visible from the right side view picture.the pictures do not do this piece justice.considering the age and rarity its a priceless peice that is a must for any seriuse collector or museum. would make a great gift for the collector that alreaady has it all. thanks for looking and happy bidding!!
