This full polished Mississippian era Celt measures just under 4 5/8 inches in length by just under 2 3/4 inches at maximum width and is 7/8 inches thick. The celt is made of greenstone and is fully polished including the base. The cutting edge is convex and displays heavy use. This full polished axe came out of a small collection from Grayson County Virginia. This is a super full polished axe from southwest Virginia. You don't usually find these with this much polish!
